Equipment
We have a choice of antennas to use mainly built by members of the group.
It really depends on what the event is.
If we have unlimited space such as at the field we use, then the full size doublet goes up.
Generally, we don't always have access to two 30ft poles, so 1 will do, and any other antennas get mounted on this including a full size G5RV or an OCF dipole. For VHF, we have use of a 2m/70cm collinear, and also a 3 element 2m beam.
Other members have access to a few other antennas, details of which will be added later
Here Are Some Radios We Use
The first is the new Icom 7000,
A full blown mini-IC-756 Pro Mk. III In a package no bigger than the original IC-706, Icom have produced a FULL DSP HF/6m (100W)/2m (50W) & 70cm (35W) rig with many many features including a first - 2.5 inch TFT colour display built into a mobile size radio, along with a detachable front panel for mobile use.

The second radio is the Icom 756 Pro, this radio covers all nine HF ham bands plus 6 meters (receive from 30 kHz - 60 Mhz). The high resolution 4.9 inch TFT colour dot matrix LCD display provides more operating information than nearly any other radio, including a real-time spectrum scope (± 12.5, ± 25, ± 50 or ± 100 kHz).
